A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO ENDINGS adds Harvey Keitel
Harvey Keitel has joined the cast of Jonathan Sobol’s directorial debut, A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO ENDINGS. The cast includes Tricia Helfer, J.K. Simmons, and Scott Caan. It appears that Keitel will be replacing Dennis Hopper, who is battling prostate cancer.
A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO ENDINGS is a dark comedy which centers on three brothers (Caan, Paulo Castanzo, and Jason Jones) who set out to right some of their wrongdoings when they discover that they only have a few days left to live.
Keitel has been cast in the role of the brothers’ father, Duke, a hard-living gambling man. J.K. Simmons will play the brothers’ uncle. Tricia Helfer has been cast as the girlfriend of Scott Caan’s character.
Keitel is known for roles such in such films as BAD LIEUTENANT, COPKILLER, RESERVOIR DOGS, PULP FICTION, TAXI DRIVER, MEAN STREETS, and COP LAND to name a few, so playing a hard-living character is not much of a stretch for him. He makes an excellent replacement for Dennis Hopper.
