A few more join Mickey Rourke for ST. VINCENT
It has been known for awhile now that director Walter Hill (THE WARRIORS, 48 HRS.) will be reteaming with his JOHNNY HANDSOME star Mickey Rourke for ST. VINCENT, a film about a past-his-prime hitman with an angel and a devil on his shoulder, as he poses as a priest to get near his target and is subsequently struck with guilt and vulnerability as he takes the man’s confession.
Now, yet another JOHNNY HANDSOME alumnus will be joining Rourke. Forrest Whitaker, who also starred in the 1989 crime film, will be reuniting with Hill and Rourke for VINCENT. Also added to the cast are Li Gong (MIAMI VICE) and Ray Winstone (THE DEPARTED). Something tells me that Winstone is not playing the good guy in this film. Just a hunch.
This marks a bit of a return to the screen for Hill, as he at was one time known as one of Hollywood’s heavy hitters, with a story credit on ALIENS and producing credits on the entire franchise.
