Ben Barnes, who is gracing the screens presently as Prince Caspian, will be playing the lead part in the new film version of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. For those of you somehow not familiar with the book, it revolves around a young man who has his portrait painted and then frivolously wishes that the picture change and he would remain the same. His wish comes true - Dorian Gray’s picture grows aged and corrupt while he continues to appear fresh and innocent. The film is being directed by Oliver Parker and produced by Barnaby Thompson, who have teamed together before on An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest.
