• Brett Ratner, the barbarian.

Word is, Brett Ratner decided he was done with the internal struggle of whether to move forward with BEVERLY HILLS COP 4 or a CONAN script penned by the folks that brought you SAHARA and A SOUND OF THUNDER.  Much to my dismay, he chose the latter.  The upside is that Millenium and Lionsgate are both pushing for an R rating on this origin tale for one of the world’s most fabled barbarians, so there’s sure to be plenty of barbaric activity to support this reputation.  Ratner reportedly still intends to direct Eddie Murphy in BHC4, with WANTED writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas penning the script, but who knows if he’ll have the time as CONAN is looking for an early 2010 release, and BEVERLY HILLS COP was shooting for a Summer 2010 opening.  So now we pose the question, who should take Arnold’s place in the epic revenge saga?
