The Chin himself, Bruce Campbell, talked to Access Hollywood recently about his potential involvement in the confirmed SPIDER-MAN 4 film. Whereas Campbell had mere cameos in the first three films -ring announcer, waiter, theater usher- he says director Sam Raimi has a “major part” for him in the fourth film.

Since the begining of the franchise, Campbell has been rumored to play a villain at some point, so maybe this is the major part he's referring to is. Can you say Msyterio and perfect together in the same sentence? Because I can. Maybe now he will finally get his chance to shine longer than 5 minutes in a SPIDER-MAN film, subsequently reuniting with his EVIL DEAD director. Or maybe this is all just Bruce Campbell being the sarcastic man we all know and love him to be.

Campbell also noted that filming on SPIDER-MAN 4 would begin in January 2010, with a release date set for May 2011. This shooting date is a lot sooner than any of us expected, considering that the script is still unfinished and has yet to find a writer that has stuck to the project.
