Cecile De France signs up for Clint Eastwood’s HEREAFTER
There is a good chance that you don’t recognize the name Cecile De France, and I do not blame you. The Belgian-born actress has acted primarily in foreign films, and one of the few American movies she did, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS with Jackie Chan, almost nobody saw.
Some of you though, will instantly know who De France is when I tell you this little piece of information – Cecile De France played the lead role in the brutal horror film HAUTE TENSION (HIGH TENSION), which got a pretty decent U.S. release a few years ago.
Many of you still unfamiliar with Cecile De France will soon have a much better idea of who she is. De France has joined the cast of Clint Eastwood’s HEREAFTER, starring Matt Damon. This film seems set to get a lot of attention when it’s released next year.
HEREAFTER tells the story of three people who are touched by death in different ways. De France will portray French journalist who has a near-death experience.
This is a huge role for Cecile De France, one that will likely introduce her to a large American audience when the film is released December 2010.
