Christopher Lee and Tim Curry added to the cast of BURKE & HARE
Director John Landis (THE BLUES BROTHERS) is back with BURKE & HARE, the true tale of two entrepreneurial men who rob graves only to turn around and sell the snatched bodies to medical schools. Yet, when their supply of fresh, Grade-A meat runs low, they take matters into their own hands…literally.
So far, the film has built up quite an impressive cast of characters playing characters. Simon Pegg (SHAUN OF THE DEAD) and Andy Serkis (LORD OF THE RINGS) will serve as the dastardly Mr. Burke and Mr. Hare, while John Cleese (MONTY PYTHON’S THE MEANING OF LIFE), Isla Fisher (WEDDING CRASHERS), Tom Wilkinson (BATMAN BEGINS), Hugh Bonneville (NOTTING HILL), David Schofield (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN), and Allan Corduner (FRED CLAUS) will co-star in the delightfully dark film. Throw in Sir Christopher Lee, along with Tim Curry, and we’ve got ourselves one drop-dead amazing cast.
Oh, and did I mention that a few of Simon Pegg’s old friends would be joining the show? It’s a regular reunion here with the additions of Stephen Merchant (HOT FUZZ), Jessica Hynes (SPACED, SHAUN OF THE DEAD), Bill Bailey (HOT FUZZ), Reece Shearsmith (SHAUN OF THE DEAD) and Michael Smiley (SPACED).
Not to mention the fact that the very man that directed Michael Jackson’s THRILLER is at the helm…of a dark comedy about grave robbers! Can you say “one of the most anticipated films of the year?”
