On the red carpet for BLACK DYNAMITE, the ubercool homage to blaxploitation, director Scott Sanders was on hand to talk about some of the blaxploitation influences that inspired the film, as well as why he felt the need to return to a genre now long gone.

Black Dynamite/Spawn himself and all-around nice guy/bad ass, Michael Jai White, was also on hand and looking very Joker-esque, might I add (again). Mr. White was cool enough to discuss, in quite an in-depth manner, what his experience was like on THE DARK KNIGHT and acting alongside what is now one of the most famous roles in film history. For those of you unaware, Michael Jai White played Gambol, the gangster who went toe-to-toe with The Joker, resulting in a knife in the mouth and one of the film’s most memorable scenes.
