COMIC-CON 09: Tim Burton will be seeing DARK SHADOWS
First, Sam Raimi announced his next directing project at Comic-Con 09, and now Tim Burton has used the very popular event to reveal his next film, which will be a film adaptation of the horror-themed melodrama TV show DARK SHADOWS. Given that the rights to the project were bought by Johnny Depp’s Infinitum-Nihl production company, and Tim Burton is directing, it’s almost certain that Johnny Depp will be playing DARK SHADOWS’ central character, the vampire Barnabas Collins (although nothing has been confirmed yet in regards to Depp appearing in the film).
Burton is a master of the bizarre and frightening, so he should do great things in a world occupied by vampires, werewolves, and witches. I’m definitely excited about this. What do you think of Burton’s pick for his next film?
