David and Courtney Cox-Arquette have the lung capacity to SCREAM one more time

Awhile back, we brought you news that writer Kevin Williamson was attempting to take another stab at his once-popular SCREAM series.
It would now seem that this is a for sure deal, as David Arquette and wife Courtney Cox-Arquette have signed on, in blood presumably.
Here’s what Arquette (the male one) had to say:
“We are going to be doing Scream 4.”
He’s a man of few words, that Mr. Arquette. Just kidding. We know that’s not true. Here’s what else Deputy Dewey had to say:
“Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct.”
And…
“I fell in love with my wife on Scream, so the opportunity to bring [Dewey] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it’s just going to be really fun. It’s just great.”
Arquette also went on to say that he hopes for Neve Campbell’s involvement, however it is now widely known that she has already turned down the role. You know, since she has so many other things going on right now, like that sequel to 54 aptly titled “55,” as well as a long rumored big screen PARTY OF FIVE movie, which I think is currently under the working title PARTY OF FIVE: TABLE FOR FIVE.
I would be lying if I said, while I have no idea what the point is or where it will go, I am somewhat excited at the idea of a fourth SCREAM film. Maybe they will just turn it into a quirky romantic comedy between Dewey and Gale Weathers. They go on a date to the zoo. There’s a montage of them doing goofy, yet cute things there set to a song by The Fray. And then someone in a ghost mask begins to kill all the other animals at the zoo, only to find out that it was not a human but a orangutan the whole time! Hilarity ensues.
On a side note, I love the movie 8 LEGGED FREAKS.
