David Byrne tour documentary RIDE, RISE, ROAR to premiere at SXSW
We're pretty big Talking Heads fans around here in GATW Town. In fact, "Naive Melody (This Must Be the Place)" is one of my top ten favorite songs of all time (of all time!), and its charming appearance in the also-beloved LARS AND THE REAL GIRL only cemented my love for the song and the Heads in general.
Being a Heads fan, of course, means that you're also a David Byrne fan. The former Talking Heads frontman has already gone the concert film route with the exceptional STOP MAKING SENSE, and now he's bringing us a different look at what he does and how he does it - a new tour documentary called RIDE, RISE, ROAR that will premiere at this year's SXSW.
The film follows Byrne’s tour in 2008 and 2009 for his collaboration album with Brian Eno, "Everything That Happens Will Happen Today."
