Don R. Lewis
Film Critic
Evidently the elder statesman at GATW, Don R. Lewis has pretty much worked his way into the film industry backwards. Starting off some 12 years ago as a volunteer for the Sundance film festival, Don then began writing reviews for local papers. Soon he was recruited by Film Threat and stayed there for ten years while learning and studying everything there was to study about film. Now, four film degrees (including a Masters in Cinema Studies) and two award winning short documentaries later, Don has found a new home inside the belly of Gordon and the Whale.
Don lives in Northern California with his wife, daughter and dog Igby. In his spare time Don enjoys microbrews, music, baseball (Go Giants!) and his favorite filmmakers include Hal Ashby, Billy Wilder, Kevin Smith and Sam Peckinpah.
