The last chapter in the Russian sci-fi / horror / fantasy series that began with Night Watch and continued with Day Watch is finally in pre-production. Timur Bekmambetov will finish out the trilogy with the upcoming Dusk Watch, which will be released through Fox International Pictures. For those not up to speed on this great trilogy of films, it’s based on the novels by popular Russian writer Sergei Lukyanenko. The story revolves around a confrontation between two opposing supernatural groups (known as “Others”): the Night Watch, an organization dedicated to policing the actions of the Dark Others—and the Day Watch, which polices the actions of the Light Others.
