Eric Bana might be in Joe Wright’s HANNA
HANNA is about a 14 year old girl whose father raises her to be a killer, becomes a young and deadly assassin, but eventually tries to get out of the killing life. The film will reunite director Joe Wright and actress Saoirse Ronan, who played young Briony in Wright's ATONEMENT (a beautiful film, let's go ahead and get that on the record). Ronan is a strong young actress, and her performance in THE LOVELY BONES was great, even though many think the film was not. Yes, HANNA sounds pretty awesome, and there might be more to get excited about with HANNA very soon.
Eric Bana, the Australian-born actor who was in FUNNY PEOPLE and STAR TREK last summer, is in negotiations to appear in HANNA. Bana would play the father, a part that I'm sure he would have no problem pulling off. The guy can do quiet intensity well, which will probably work well for the role of a father who trains his daughter to kill professionally.
