With the highly anticipated sequel allegedly having an AVENGERS-like announcement teaser in front of prints of THE DICTATOR, ANCHORMAN 2 has been pushing itself into production over the past couple of months, ever since it was re-announced after being initially ditched by Paramount years back. With his next film, WORLD’S END, set to shoot this September, and THE AVENGERS still making handfuls of dollars each day it's out there, people are wondering when his take on ANT-MAN will finally get to see the light of day. We may now know a little bit more about the answer to that question.

So yes, apparently a billion dollars is damn cool. Just ask Marvel Studios.

As you likely have already heard, director Joss Whedon and his Marvel team-up behemoth THE AVENGERS has annihilated an amalgam of box office records, bringing its worldwide gross, as of the conclusion of this weekend, over the billion dollar mark. That’s right, in only 19 days, the film has already become the 11^th highest grossing film of all time. And it’s not slowing down.

Theatrical Review: THE DICTATOR

Throughout THE DICTATOR’s incredibly short run time, there was a non-stop rumble of laughter that permeated the packed theater. This laughter indicated that the movie being shown on the screen was, indeed, consistently funny, and therefore said laughter was an appropriate reaction. While I’m not one to call a theater full of people wrong, this entire theater full of people was wrong. That’s not to say THE DICTATOR is not funny; several times throughout the film I found myself sitting there, head in hands and wondering what the Hell I was doing, before being brought out of a bored funk with raucous, often shameful laughter.

New clip from SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN sees The Queen ordering The Huntsman into the dark forest

Yahoo! nabbed an exclusive clip for the forthcoming SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN, starring Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as The Huntsman, and Charlize Theron as The Queen.

In the clip, The Queen is seen ordering The Huntsman to go track down Snow White, who responds with trepidation. It looks suitably dark and brooding, a far cry from the more comedy-laden MIRROR MIRROR by Tarsem Singh, which was released earlier this year. While most are sure to be a little wary of Kristen Stewart performing in a role that most certainly requires a modicum of emotion, the film's initial trailer suggests she just might pull out a solid performance.
