First look at Todd Phillips’ DUE DATE with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis
There was long debate about what would be director Todd Phillips’ next film after his jackpot with THE HANGOVER. Many similarly wondered what star Zach Galifianakis would venture into after sporting a satchel and a baby around town. Well, the good news is that Phillips and Zachy Galifianaky are pairing up once again for the comedy DUE DATE. And this time they’re bringing along Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx.
Don’t fret. It’s not a sequel to THE SOLOIST. Instead, DUE DATE tells the story of a man about to have his first child (Downey) as he is forced to catch a ride with an aspiring actor (Galifianakis) in order to make it home in time to see the birth of his baby.
Galifianakis + Downey doing comedy x PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES-esque plot = pure gold. I mean, I’m not good at math but I’m pretty sure this is the equation for success. And the key to unlock my heart.
The film is currently shooting with a release set for November 5th of next year.
