First official poster for Wes Anderson’s FANTASTIC MR. FOX
Today is a very busy day for poster debuting. We’ve just seen new posters for Werner Herzog’s BAD LIEUTENANT, Spike Jonze’s WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, and the possibly controversial international poster for COUPLES RETREAT. Now we get a nice look at the first poster for Wes Anderson’s FANTASTIC MR. FOX, which debuted over at our neighbors’ place, First Showing.
I’m sure there will be a few “Come dig/I dig/Let’s dig this together” quotes about the new poster, but that’s simply because puns are fun and I’ll always throw one in, especially if it’s handed to me.
With that said, I really dig this poster, and I’m sure you will, too. We now have a good underground look at our hero, his family, and their home, with a peak at the bad guys at the top of the surface, who are a bit shovel-happy.
FANTASTIC MR. FOX is a stop-animation film based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book of the same name, and was written/directed by Wes Anderson (co-written by Noah Baumbach – THE SQUID AND THE WHALE). The characters are voiced by George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Jason Schwartzman, Michael Gambon, Adrien Brody, Brian Cox, Anjelica Huston, and Wes Anderson.
You can catch FANTASTIC MR. FOX in theaters November 13th!
