First trailer for RABBIT HOLE
Just yesterday, I went off on a bit of a rant about awards season fodder and the few films I am truly excited to see before the end of the year. I forgot RABBIT HOLE. That's clearly why Lionsgate has just released the first trailer for the film - to remind me. Starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart, RABBIT HOLE tackles the toughest of the tough stuff - the loss of a child. Kidman and Eckhart play a couple plagued by the death of their young son, a premise that could easily slip into soap, but RABBIT HOLE's buzz assures us that it does not, and that the film is sensitive and daring and more than worthy of lauding. The trailer only proves that.
Chase saw the film at TIFF and loved it. Certified Hero O' GATW, Scott Weinberg, has turned into something of a champion of the film (I am being anti-hyperbolic here, wait for the two minute mark on the trailer to see just some of Scott's words on the film). Check out the trailer after the break. Considering that the trailer alone made me want to openly weep, I worry for anyone who will be sitting next to me when I see this film (bring a poncho).
RABBIT HOLE will open in limited release on December 17. It will also be showing at this year's AFI Fest, kicking off next month.
