First trailer for Richard Kelly’s THE BOX
It’s been over a year since we first brought you news about Richard Kelly’s new movie, THE BOX. The wait has been long, but possibly worth it, as the first trailer for the movie seems to indicate. The film stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as a young couple who get a surprise visit from a stranger, played by Frank Langella. He makes them a simple proposition: push a button and their reward will be a million dollars. The only consequence is that a random person will be killed.
THE BOX is based on a short story by Richard Matheson, and was previously adapted for an episode of “The Twilight Zone” in 1986. The episode is pretty tame by today’s standard, and it looks like Kelly has turned the creepiness to 11! THE BOX will arrive in theaters on October 30, 2009. You can see the trailer below.
