FROM PARIS WITH LOVE gets a cool trailer
A trailer for director Pierre Morel’s spy action movie FROM PARIS WITH LOVE is out. Like Morel’s satisfying action film TAKEN – which starred Liam Neeson – FROM PARIS WITH LOVE’s script was co-written by action icon Luc Besson (director of THE PROFESSIONAL, LA FEMME NIKITA, and THE FIFTH ELEMENT). The film is about a U.S. ambassador (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and an American spy (John Travolta) trying to stop terrorists in Paris.
The trailer makes FROM PARIS WITH LOVE look like an intense, enjoyable, and brainless action film, just like TAKEN. The trailer also features John Travolta being convincingly bad-ass. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is there too, of course, but the trailer makes it clear that this is Travolta’s show. Meyers’ character is clearly the naive, inexperienced character who learns from his new, results-getting partner.
FROM PARIS WITH LOVE comes out February 5, 2010, and will hopefully kick plenty of ass.
