During promotion for his upcoming movie, Perfect Stranger, Giovanni Ribisi talked about a new movie to be directed by Liliana Cavani in which he will play Albert Einstein. This film and another entitled The Last Equation are both in the works presently, however, the former will focus on the relationship of Einstein and his wife Mileva Maric, and the latter will be centered around Einstein’s last equation, Pandora. The Last Equation is based on the debut novel of the same title written by screenwriter Stuart Gibbs in which this Pandora equation has the power to either save the world or destroy it.

In the film, Pandora’s equation can solve the world’s energy problems, but has simplified the process of harnessing atomic energy so much that almost anyone could potentially create atomic weaponry. The government enlists the help of an ex-convict to keep the equation from getting in the wrong hands. Hopefully, Lionsgate will sign Stuart Gibbs on to write the screenplay for the movie as well.
