Giveaway: Poster for BREAK, signed by the late David Carradine
On July 2nd, I interviewed Marc Clebanoff, writer/director for the martial arts film, BREAK. It was a very bittersweet interview, as the film featured one of the last performances by the late and uber-great David Carradine. As almost everyone knows, David passed away on June 3rd, 2009, due to an unfortunate accident.
Marc contacted me this week and told me he had a few posters signed by Carradine and asked if we’d like to give away one of these posters. Of course I said yes, and I’m truly honored to give our readers a chance at winning this. This is one of the most important contests we’ll ever have on this site. The poster was also signed by Marc, Michael Madsen, Xin Wuku, Mackenzie Firgens, James Russo, Frank Krueger, Chad Everett, Matthew Jones, and Porno for Pyros guitarist Peter Distefano (who did all the music for the film).
Since this contest is very special, we have very special rules to enter. I want this poster’s home to belong to a true Carradine fan. There are two things I would like for you to do: 1) Marc sent me some really good BREAK trivia questions you’ll need to answer correctly. 2) The last question says to describe your favorite Carradine memory or role. We’re not going to pick our favorite answer based on the role you choose, but your answer on why that role meant so much to you. If you haven’t seen BREAK or are a little blurry on what the trivia answers might be, you can rent the film via Netflix, Blockbuster Online or at Blockbuster Video stores. This is also available to buy super cheap on Amazon.com. All direct links available at www.NoCleanBreak.com.
You have until Thursday, February 4th at 11:59 PM to enter this contest. Marc and I will go over everything that weekend and announce the winner on Monday, February 8th. Good luck.
Trivia Questions:
1. At the end of BREAK you find out that James Russo’s character, who is killed in the opening of the movie, is somebody important. Who does he turn out to be?
2. What kind of woman does Michael Madsen’s character like in the film?
3. How many cuts with the knife does it take to subdue Haiku (played by Matthew Jones) when fate finally catches up with him?
4. What is the name of The Bishop’s (David Carradine) pet little person?
5. Describe your favorite role or memory of David Carradine and why.
