    hansel-and-gretel

Where the hell did this come from? I can honestly say I had no idea this was even greenlit! But, according to Latino Review, a story for a “Hansel and Gretel” movie adaptation is in the works. Hell, it already has a title – HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS.

The script will be helmed by DEAD SNOW co-writer/director Tommy Workola, and Gary Sanchez Prods. and Paramount will be distributing. The story “picks up the fairy-tale siblings 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident, which provoked them to become witch bounty hunters,” and is pitched to be a “gory-but-funny SHAUN OF THE DEAD vibe.” Sanchez execs Kevin Messick, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, and Chris Henchy are set to produce.

After reading this story on Latino Review, two words immediately came out of my mouth, “Fuck” and “Yes!” I pictured Charlie, Mac, and Dennis from “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” attempting to make this, giving “Sweet Dee” (Kaitlin Olson) some machine guns and Frank (Danny DeVito) a machete.

Who do you think should play Hansel and Gretel?
