Haunting COTTON images and poster
Somehow, I have not heard anything on the horror film COTTON until today (Chase did briefly mention the film the other day, in the middle of an article about Roth’s next directorial project). I am quite surprised there hasn’t been more talk concerning this project, largely because it is being helmed by Eli Roth, who brought the world the gut-wrenching HOSTEL films, and most recently lent his acting skills to the uber-successful Nazi-killing flick, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS.
Well, for this film, Roth and friends will trade in the torture and swastikas for a little possession and holy crosses. Now that I have peaked your interest, check out the next page after the jump for more COTTON info, COTTON stills (courtesy of AFM), and a COTTON poster.
COTTON tells the story of the evangelical preacher, Cotton Marcus, who loses hope and faith in the God that he has served for so many years. Simply renouncing his faith isn’t enough for him, though, for he must prove religion to be nothing but bells and whistles. He conceives the plan to make a powerful documentary that disproves the existence of God. The perfect situation for him to investigate and debunk this existence falls in his lap when a poor farmer sends a letter to Cotton begging for him to help him drive the devil off of his land. Cotton travels to the farm, only to be confronted with the reality that the God and the Devil just might be more real than some make-believe characters tucked away in a lengthy and aged religious book.

That’s just not natural…it’s supernatural!
