Hudgens to SUCKER PUNCH her way off HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL stage
All those hours of dancing alongside Zac Efron have finally paid off for Vanessa Hudgens (at least, in terms of her career), who was recently cast in director Zack Snyder’s latest film jaunt – SUCKER PUNCH. The film revolves around “a group of institutionalized young girls using fantasy to escape.” SUCKER PUNCH is shaping up to be a very physical experience, as Snyder is expecting the girls to punch, jump, shoot, and generally “[beat] the shit out of people.” I suspect that V-Hud’s youngest fanbase will need some serious parental supervision if they want to take in a SUCKER PUNCH viewing.
SUCKER PUNCH has suffered a bit of a revolving door of young actresses since it was first announced – Evan Rachel Wood, Emma Stone, and Amanda Seyfried were all attached at one point. However, the current cast looks pretty set in stone at this point – Hudgens will join Emily Browning, Jena Malone, Jamie Chung, and Abbie Cornish in ass-kicking the usual song and dance straight back to high school.
