I LOVE YOU PHILIP MORRIS directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra have been announced as the directors of a forthcoming Steve Carell comedy for Warner Bros. The film is currently untitled.

In the project, Carell will play a man who tries to maintain a relationship with his children as his marriage becomes undone.  The film was written by Dan Fogelman, the writer of BOLT, CARS, and the upcoming LAS VEGAS.  These relationship comedies are becoming more and more bleak, aren't they?

Carell will also wear the producer hat for this film, producing under his Carousel Productions company, in association with Charlie Harstock and Vance DeGeneres.

Requa and Ficarra wrote the script for I LOVE YOU PHILIP MORRIS, as well as BAD SANTA, the remake of BAD NEWS BEARS, and CATS & DOGS.  I LOVE YOU PHILIP MORRIS stars Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. The film will be released on March 26th.
