IT’S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY gets new release date
Usually, pushing a release date back isn't a good sign - but when the film getting pushed back has just been announced as an entry in the Toronto International Film Festival and the new release date means the film is getting a larger release - well, that's good news. IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY will now open on Friday, October 8 in the top fifty U.S. markets. Previously, the film was slated to open in limited release on September 24.
The film will have its North American premiere as a Special Presentation at this year's TIFF, which runs for its thirty-fifth year this September. Based off of Ned Vizzini's novel of the same name (Whale-approved) and directed by Anna Fleck and Ryan Boden (Whale-approved), the film is already nothing short of being, you guessed it, Whale-approved.
