Jackman no longer our Oscar host
What an honor it must be to host the biggest and, by far, the most prestigious award show of all-time, The Academy Awards. The award show’s past is littered with host duds, and host studs. Duds are hardly worth mentioning, but there have been many standouts over the past years: Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, Johnny Carson, and the brilliant co-host David Niven who improvised this line after a streaker crossed the stage, “Just think, the only laugh that man will probably ever get is by stripping and showing his shortcomings.”
Hugh Jackman did a decent job hosting last year’s ceremony, so I just figured that Wolverine would be returning to the duties again this year. I was wrong. According to sources, “Jackman has declined the job over the past few weeks, and while he won’t rule out hosting future ceremonies, he didn’t want to do it two years in a row.”
So, assuming this is true, that means that The Academy Awards are short a host. So who in the world should grab hold of the Oscar baton and carry it through this year’s finish line? Well, I have a few ideas that I would love to throw out there, and please comment back, telling us who you would like to host this year (as long as your suggestion isn’t Robert Pattinson). I can’t wait to hear what you all think.
Suggestion #1 – Steve Carell: Very funny, quick-witted, and has the perfect personality for hosting.

Suggestion #2 – Neil Patrick Harris: Funny, charming, and handled the hosting duties of The Emmy Awards with ease.

Suggestion #3 – Conan O’Brien: Again, very funny, already a brilliant host of Late Night, and has great hair.

Suggestion #4 – Bill Murray: Still amazingly funny, is hot off the best cameo in a movie ever, and would simply make a great host!

Suggestion #5 - Our very own Rusty Gordon and Chase Whale: Funny, fashionable, and are in charge of the greatest movie news website of all-time.
