Jeremy Renner to play Mad Max?
Could-be 2010 Oscar contender/winner Jeremy Renner has been on my radar for a very long time – since I was 12 actually, when I first saw him cause Van Dammage in NATION LAMPOON’S SENIOR TRIP. Fast forward 14 years, and Jeremy’s on everyone’s radar with his fantastic performance in Kathryn Bigelow’s THE HURT LOCKER.
Now he might be filling the dirty boots that brought Mel Gibson to high profile status, as the titular main character in the next MAD MAX film. In an interview with the Modesto Bee, he said he’s “fighting to do the new Mad Max film with George Miller. That might be next summer. I’m screen-testing and meeting George Miller.”
George Miller is the man behind all the previous MAD MAX films, so if George sees Jeremy fit, so do I. We could possibly be seeing MAD MAX 4 as early as next summer!
