Justin Theroux to write SPACE INVADER
Justin Theroux is rapidly making himself one of the most well-known screenwriters in Hollywood, having already written both TROPIC THUNDER and IRON MAN 2. Not to mention the fact that the guy already had quite the notable career as an actor, having appeared in MULHOLLAND DR., AMERICAN PYSCHO, and MIAMI VICE.
Now Theroux has got himself another writing gig, as he will pen a draft of SPACE INVADER, about a guy who is so insecure about his relationship that he travels into space to confront his astronaut girlfriend about his suspicions that she may be cheating on him with another astronaut. Will Arnett (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT) is already attached to star.
Theroux is currently producing a film about air guitar competitions based on the 2005 documentary AIR GUITAR NATION. That film is being written by Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger, who coincidentally wrote the first draft of SPACE INVADER that Theroux is rewriting.
