Lionsgate has just announced (via Twitter) the release dates for two very highly anticipated projects. Matthew Vaughn’s comic-book adaptation, KICK-ASS, will be assing (I figured a lot people would use the kicking pun here so I went a different direction) into theaters on April 6, 2010, and Sylvester Stallone’s ultra-action film THE EXPENDABLES will be coming out in a little less than a year from today, as it will be released on August 20, 2010.

It’s nice to see that neither film will be getting a January or February release date, which is when the studios do a lot of dumping of their lesser projects on audiences, so there is no reason to start worrying that these projects won’t live up to their hype.
