Leonardo’s doing the casino thing (kind of)

Leonardo DiCaprio has just signed on to star and produce a film about online casinos that takes place in Costa Rica. Why Costa Rica? I'm not sure, but I'm sure having it as the film's setting will give Leo plenty of opportunities to show off that extremely toned body of his, a little something for the ladies and some of the fellows to already get excited about with luscious Leo's latest project.
The untitled project is written by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the screenwriting duo that previously looked at the gambling world with the screenplay for ROUNDERS and, in a more playful sense, with OCEAN'S THIRTEEN. The two men also wrote the screenplay for the recently released THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE.
There isn't a lot known about the film, other than the little gained from its synopsis. However, Leo's involvement and the screenwriters' fairly solid resume, which also includes RUNAWAY JURY and KNOCKAROUND GUYS, already gives me a fairly good feeling about this film.
DiCaprio can next be seen in Martin Scorsese's adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel, SHUTTER ISLAND, which is due out October 2 of this year. And because it always fun to hear Leo's blatantly fake, but still somehow awesome, Boston accent, you can click HERE to watch the recently released trailer for SHUTTER ISLAND.
