LET ME IN’s first teaser poster

Those eagle-eyed kids over at Cinema Blend have picked up the very first teaser poster for LET ME IN, the American remake of Swedish LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, fresh from the film’s new Facebook page. This teaser is incredibly tame, but it does offer a firm nod to some of the original posters for the Swedish vampire flick, as it retains the hands-at-the-foggy-window look so popular in the previous posters.
Check out the brand new poster for LET ME IN after the jump, along with the three posters for LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (including the original Swedish version).
The remake of last year’s Swedish hit started production just this week. It is set to star Chloe Mortez, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Richard Jenkins. It will be directed by Matt Reeves, best known for CLOVERFIELD. The original LET THE RIGHT ONE IN captured audiences with its very different take on vampires (sorry, TWILIGHT), offering a much darker tale than some of the other vamp outings we’ve been subjected to lately.
If you haven’t read the book on which it is based, written by John Ajvide Lindqvist, I highly recommend you do so. Devotees of the original film will find a bevy of storylines not captured in the cinematical version, along with the same intriguingly dark tone the film so perfectly conveyed. I retain crossed fingers for this remake.
