• Let’s make Dallas one of the cities to get a PARANORMAL ACTIVITY party!

By way of an extremely creative grassroots marketing campaign, people all across America told Paramount Pictures that they didn’t enjoy sleep. What I’m referring to is of course the scary-as-hell PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, which was demanded by a million-plus people to be given a wide release in theaters. Now the little found footage film that only cost an estimated $11,000 to make has gone on to already gross $33,171,743 as of today.

In return, the good people of Paramount would like to say thank you, by giving 10 cities the opportunity to have a special PARANORMAL party thrown in their area. We here at Gordon and the Whale would love our hometown of Dallas, TX to be one of those cities. But we’re going to need your help!

Here’s how it works. All we have to do is sell out a 12:01 AM showtime in the DFW area for this Thursday, October the 23rd (to be technical 11:59 PM on October 22nd). That’s it!

If we succeed, then Dallas will get its very own special PARANORMAL ACTIVITY party to occur during the midnight screening, complete with all kinds of free goodies that are so cool no one will tell us what exactly they are.

    So here’s what you do:

Select Texas and a list of theaters will appear.

Buy tickets for a theater in the DFW area. I would suggest:
    CINEMARK WEST PLANO 20
    3800 DALLAS PARKWAY
    PLANO, TX

If we focus our efforts on one central theater, then it is more likely that we will sell that one out!

Remember, we need to sell out a theater by THIS Thursday. That’s only two days away! So let’s get to purchasing so that we can be one of the 10 cities that can say “I was scared to death by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and all I got was this awesome party complete with a ton of cool swag!”

You can track what cities are getting parties as the numbers roll in HERE. You can also follow PARANORMAL ACTIVITY on Twitter HERE, as well as Paramount Pictures HERE to keep up with the live status of the contest.
