ME AND ORSON WELLES gets a poster
The Cinematical dudes and dudettes have the first exclusive look at the poster for Richard Linklater’s ME AND ORSON WELLES. Set in 1937, the film follows young Richard Samuels (Zac Efron), who falls in with Orson Welles (Christian McKay) as he is directing Broadway’s first Shakespearean production (Julius Caesar). Young Richard “bluffs” his way into a role in the show, finding him paired up to rehearse with beguiling assistant Sonja Jones (Claire Danes). ME AND ORSON WELLES focuses on the big personality (and ego) of Welles, the ins and outs of theater, and enough love complications to make your head spin.
As a proud Efron fan (James is, too), I am quite looking forward to seeing him breaking in a different role than the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL films afforded him. Rumor also has it that McKay’s performances as Welles is pretty stand-out and special.
Hit the jump to get a look at McKay, Danes, and Efron’s smiling faces on the first poster for ME AND ORSON WELLES.
