MEN IN BLACK 3 is great, everything is great, everyone is happy. It’s great.
MEN IN BLACK 3? Oh yeah, everyone is so happy. I was thinking people were depressed about the state of the film, but then I was wrong about it and now I know that the cast is all happy. Why do you ask? Did someone tell you that someone was sad? Because that person is a liar. They are so freaking happy, ADHD trampoline birthday party happy.
MTV's Splash Page caught up with Josh Brolin on the red carpet at this year's Academy Awards, and he denied any rumors that MIIIB (MEN IN BLACK 3) is not going well. He denied it so hard my face broke. Check out what he said after the break.
There have been rumors that the flashback portion of MIIIB was less than "out of this world" and that script revisions were delaying the film from moving forward. While this may have been true at some point, Brolin wants to ease people's fears that the third film in a highly stretched out series (in which the second was a total suck-fest) is going to be anything less than sooooooo great.
"No, no...It's good. We're finally starting up again. The script is fantastic! We're very, very happy. I wish I could read you this email [taps chest as if the email was sent to his heart?] that Barry sent me. He's very happy, which makes me happy."
See? Nothing to worry about. Any time one statement has the word "happy" three times in it there is no reason to believe anything could be wrong at all. Let's put it in a different context: "Your dog is going to probably live! I know he was hit by three cars but all of us doctors are super happy about how happy your dog looks. We are just so happy that this is totally going well and there are no problems at all. " Obviously that imaginary scenario is going to turn out great, just like MIIIB.
MIIIB will be out sometime in 2012 and we here at Gordon And The Whale are just so jazzed about how totally great and not filled with crap this film is going to be. Stay tuned for more news on MIIIB because I bet there will be more between now and 2012. Probably.
