The exchange of words between Michael Bay and Megan Fox continues with no end in sight, but it looks like things are beginning to die down. At this point, it’s almost impossible to follow everything they’ve said to each other, but I believe it started when Fox said downplayed TRANSFORMER 2’s quality, to which Bay responded by saying that she’s only “23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.”

Then she called him “Hitler” and crew members wrote a nasty public letter to the actress, describing her as “dumb as a rock.” Then Michael Bay seemed to joke about wanting to kill off Fox in the next movie. Why does it feel like I’m describing a feud between two third graders? Well, it looks like Bay is ready to bury the hatchet.

Talking to USA Today, he justified some of her remarks by saying that “she’s young. Everyone’s got to give her a break, she only…23? It’s just hard. I’ve traveled around the world with her and she’s just like this world symbol now, you know?”

He also dismissed the rumors that she would be killed off in the next movie. According to Bay, “she’s got a great part in Transformers 3,” so it looks like we haven’t seen the last of her palling around with giant robots. Hopefully this dumb fight is over, but if it isn’t, I’m just gonna start a drinking game.
