Mondo debuts newest prints: “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives” and “Werewolves on Wheels”
Mondo has announced that two new prints will go up for sale this week: “Werewolves on Wheels” by Phantom City Creative and “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives” by the legendary cartoonist Chris Ware.
To celebrate this week's Weird Wedensday showing at the Alamo Drafthouse, Mondo has released a print for the cult film WEREWOLVES ON WHEELS. A regular and variant version will be made available, both measuring 24” x 36”. The regular is an edition of 235 and will cost $40. The variant will cost $60, and only 65 will be printed. Check out the regular followed by the variant after the break.
The 2010 Palme d’Or winner UNCLE BOONMEE WHO CAN RECALL HIS PAST LIVES has been immortalized by Chris Ware in a 10-color (!) screen print. His print measures 24” x 36” and is an edition of 400. The print will cost $75. Take a gander at Mondo’s first partnership with Ware below.
Both prints will be available for sale at the Mondo store at 5PM today. The remaining posters will be for sale online at a random time tomorrow, May 20th. Follow Mondo on Twitter for a release time.
What are your thoughts on the prints? I’m glad to see Mondo heading back to their cult film roots.
