Calm down, calm down, DirecTV is not defacing another one of our childhood icons. That was my first thought, too. Instead, this is a video turning the tables on DirectTV. The guys at Landline TV have put together a parody of the satellite provider’s recent use Chris Farley in one of their commercials despite being dead.

I wrote about the Chris Farley video a little over a week ago and I was somewhat surprised and pleased that the majority of you agreed that the commercial was in poor taste. Landline TV takes a jab at DirectTV by presenting some even more disturbing dead spokespersons: Heath Ledger, JFK and Jesus.

Actually, what’s even more disturbing is that, when I read the title of the video and saw the image of the Joker, I actually thought it was true. So, at this point, nothing DirectTV does will surprise me. Especially after the buzz created by the Farley commercial. Some of it was negative, but there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

    • I... have nothing to say about this. Just... wow.

Today really is a good day for taking the convertible...
