Natalie Portman says Kat Dennings is in THOR
While promoting her new film BROTHERS, Natalie Portman let the cat out of the bag (so to speak) involving some interesting casting news surrounding THOR. Portman, who is set to play nurse Jane Foster in the film, told MTV that she was excited about the film, partly due to the fact that friend and actress Kat Dennings (NICK AND NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST, THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN) would be co-starring alongside her.
Here’s what the lovely Ms. Portman had to say. “Kat Dennings is going to be in it with me and she’s a good friend and an amazing actress, so I’m looking forward to that.”
If confirmed, Dennings will be joining an already impressive cast including Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgård, Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson and the man set to pick up the hammer himself, Chris Hemsworth (STAR TREK). The film is being directed by the regarded thespian Kenneth Branagh.
Though I am an avid lover of comic books, I am not too familiar with the character of Thor or his story line. Any ideas on who Dennings could play? Allow my ears to heareth your booming voices, all you fans of the Norse God of thunder!
