New character posters and image for IRON MAN 2
Yesterday we got the second trailer for IRON MAN 2 (which brought the awesome), and now we have some more IRON MAN 2 treats that have hit the web. Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment have revealed two new character posters for the film, as well as a new image (found at the top of the post) and a standee. These new items are worth a look if you are excited for IRON MAN 2 (which is another way of saying “these new items are worth a look if you are a person”). Check them out after the jump.
They’re playing the War Machine aspect of the film pretty heavily with these latest promo materials. War Machine is one of two the characters to get a poster in this batch (the other being Iron Man), and is also sharing the standee with Iron Man . But how heavy of a dose of Cheadles’ James Rhodes/War Machine will we actually be getting in IRON MAN 2? With what we have been getting so far, I’m going to guess pretty heavy. Or maybe it is just because War Machine looks so cool, that they want to get his slick face out there, but he won’t end being in the film that much.
They are introducing several new characters (Rhodes was in the first film, but had yet to become War Machine) with IRON MAN 2 including: Whiplash (who has a character poster previously released), Black Widow, and Justin Hammer, and the film can only be so long. Right now, I’m thinking that Iron Man and Whiplash will be featured prominently in the beginning of the film (I got this vibe from the trailers), but then the focus will shift to War Machine. Who knows for sure? Probably Jon Favreau and a few other people.
