New DISTRICT 9 poster
DISTRICT 9 looks to be an interesting film – an ALIEN INVASION movie that, along with big-time special effects, also has a social conscious and intelligence to it. I know INDEPENDENCE DAY had Will Smith, and also a stripper as an important character, but I still don’t think pointing out the injustices of our society was one of the film’s main goals.
The real point of this article isn’t Will Smith or strippers (sorry, Grandma, I know you deeply love both of those things), but rather that there is a new poster for DISTRICT 9, and it is quite cool. The teaser poster has a shooting target of an alien as the focus and the spaceship in the background, but this new poster wisely brings the very impressive spaceship more into frame as it hovers ominously above a warning sign.
I’m very pleased with this new DISTRICT 9 poster. What about you?
