New full-length AVATAR trailer coming this weekend
I was one of the lucky ones who got a chance to see the the 16-minute preview of AVATAR back in August. Although it was free, it came at the cost of me waiting in line for a few hours in order to have the privilege of being the first in line and getting the best seat IMAX had to offer. It was totally worth it.
Unfortunately, the rest of you were left with a 2-minute long trailer that contained a single line of dialogue and almost no information on the plot. Needless to say, the first trailer didn’t do justice to the much-hyped movie. This weekend, though, we’re finally getting a mammoth, 3.5-minute long trailer!
Coming Soon was able to confirm that 20th Century Fox will be releasing the new footage in theaters this weekend. It promises to show more of the story, which was sorely lacking in the teaser. What remains unconfirmed is which movie will get the new trailer. This weekend isn’t exactly filled with big releases (though I’m sure SAW VI will make some money). Other movies being released include CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT, AMELIA, and ASTRO BOY, so no other sci-fi flicks to pair it up with. If you do happen to miss the trailer in theaters, it’ll be online a week later on the 29th.
