See below for another look at Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, a character that was actually not featured in the original ALICE IN WONDERLAND novel, but in its sequel follow-up THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS.

I, as many of you, get more and more excited every time I see a still released from Tim Burton’s film adaptation of the children’s fantasy book. His style as a director, combined with his penchant for dark stories rooted in fantasy worlds, make him what I would consider a perfect fit to tell the tale of the girl who fell down the rabbit-hole into a world of fantasy and imagination. I am thrilled alone at the fact of Burton tackling this story, which I’ve always found to be very dark. He’s definitely the man for the job in my book when it comes to this.

Let us just hope this one does not turn out like Burton’s other children’s novel-to-film adaptation that we won’t mention. If you need a clue to the title, it somewhat sounds like “Gnarly and ze Pocket Daiquiri.” Somewhat.

See the photo below. And in case you missed it, check out The Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham-Carter) and the titular Alice (Mia Wasikowska).
