New SHERLOCK HOLMES poster
My, what a big whip you have, Watson! Today brings us the newest SHERLOCK HOLMES poster and Jude Law’s Dr. Watson certainly has plenty of stuff to smack with his riding crop, as this new bit of advertising is teeming with all sorts of bobs from the upcoming film. Rachel McAdams! A puppy! Guns! A door knocker! Hints to the story to come? Here’s hoping.
This newest poster is different than the first one-sheet we saw, HERE, which was definitely more intriguing and mysterious, all smoke and shaded Robert Downey Jr. as our titular hero. It does seem to be taking some cues from the previous character posters (check them out HERE), particularly in terms of making our heroes seem oddly big-headed.
The new poster also features a cutesy new selling slogan, “HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAY.” This movie could come out on a Tuesday in August, and I’d be there, the last thing I need is a holiday sell point, my behind is already mentally in the theater for Guy Ritchie’s latest.
