New vampire fight clip from NEW MOON
Okay, this is what I’m talking about. So much of the NEW MOON information coming out as of late has focused on the emergence of Jacob Black and his pack of werewolves, but NEW MOON also features another very important introduction of a pack of a very different kind. The Volturi. We’ve already gotten a look at some of our main Volturi vamps back in August, with five character pictures portraying Jane, Marcus, Aro, Caius, and Alec, but we haven’t really seen them in action.
Today, we have a new clip that changes that. It’s forty-five seconds of an epic fight scene between Edward and the Volturi (for the uninitiated, the Volturi are viewed as the governing body of all vampires, and they are old and they are hard-liners and they have some pretty strict ideas of how things should be done). The clip gives us a good look at our Volturi elders (particularly Michael Sheen as Aro, looking nice and unhinged) and some of their henchmen. The fight scene is reminiscent of the ballet studio scene from TWILIGHT, complete with an angry and protective Edward.
