    wolfman poster tease

The first WOLFMAN posters have just hit the web and they are beautiful. They almost make me think that all the movie delays have been worth it because everything I’ve seen just keeps getting more gorgeous, starting with the revamped trailer back in August and now these two character posters.

The first one comes to us courtesy of Cinematical and it features the beautiful Emily Blunt alone in the forest. Of course, if you’ve seen the trailer you know that she’s far from alone. The second poster comes from Ain’t It Cool News and shows an extreme close-up of the title character.

It’s interesting that both posters kinda tease the beast. The first one by not showing him at all and the second by showing him from so close that we don’t really see him at all. I should also add that the font for the title is different (and better) than what they used in the trailer. Another small cosmetic change, but one I’m really digging.

I may stand in the minority, but I love the poster featuring Emily Blunt! Every other movie with this kind of theme feels the need to show the meat of the story in their promoting. As a person who wasn't in love with the Cloverfield teaser, this is actually a time where the ad lacks information and I'm okay with it stimulating my imagination what's going on. Poster two though is just what I'd expect it to be, even though that's what the audience will come to see, it's nothing new.

Yeah, I really like that aspect of the Emily Blunt poster. Sometimes what you don't see is scarier than what you do see.
