Today I am conducting an experiment. I am going to write a news item about something without reviewing the thing I am attempting to write about – the official plot synopsis for Christopher Nolan’s INCEPTION. Much of the upcoming film’s buzz has been about its (once) massively kept-under-wraps plot, and something like today’s official reveal sort of takes the cast of mystery and suspicion and intrigue right off the film. And I cannot say that I am ready for that.

These days, it’s much too easy to learn all sorts of things about a film before it hits theaters – from first casting announcements, to on-set pictures, to official synopses, official teasers, official trailers…the list goes on. The joy of discovery gets smaller every day and with every project, and I’m going to put myself on an INCEPTION information fast as long as I can. But are you ready to learn more?
