Our first look at Alan Rickman’s Caterpillar from ALICE IN WONDERLAND
At this point we’ve seen almost every character from Tim Burton’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND and one thing is certain: the guy has a twisted mind. Strangely, though, Alan Rickman’s Caterpillar has been suspiciously absent from any of the advertising, such as the character posters or the trailers.
Our first look at him actually comes from a magazine scan at the Tim Burton Collective blog, which just happens to have a small image of the character. A comparison between the Rickman version and the Disney version shows some striking differences. First, the purple is gone and replaced by a soft-blue. Also, the uppity Disney Caterpillar has been changed to what looks like a creepy old man. Definitely in line with the overall creepiness of the film. See the full scan after the jump.
