  • Paramount and Marvel re-team up

    by:
    September 30th, 2008

This year Marvel Studios made Paramount a whole lot of cash. Their two debut movies have grossed over $800 million dollars worldwide and they continue to rake in the cash in DVD sales, so its easy to see why Paramount decided to extend their distribution deal with Marvel! The upcoming schedule is as follows:

-IRON MAN 2 - May 7, 2010 (read more about it here.)

-THOR - July 16, 2010 (Kenneth Branagh will be directing)

-THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA - May 6, 2011

    -THE AVENGERS - JULY 15, 2011

-IRON MAN 3 - to be announced

This is great news for all of us who enjoyed Marvel's unique take on the superhero genre this summer! Which of these are you most excited about? My money is on the Avengers double feature for the Summer of 2011! And I'm still skeptical about THOR, but if anyone can make it work, its Marvel.

YES! Man, give the company that created the characters creative control instead of raping them for a profit and they’re successful…who’d have thought…
